Activities You Can Do with these Outlines of Rubber Ducks
There are many different things you can do with these outlines of rubber ducks.
You of course should do whatever seems like the most fun for you, or whatever would be suited best to your family or classroom. But we thought it would be good to provide some ideas of things that you could do with this resource.
Creative Ideas
There are many different creative things you could do with these. Firstly, they would be a great coloring in resource for young kids or kids who just love to color in (and let’s be real, who doesn’t!?) Sit your kids down with some pencils, pens, crayons, or even be more adventurous and grab some paints… only if you’re prepared it might get messy!
Or feel free to be even more creative with some mixed media materials. Grab some colored paper that kids can cut out into various different patterns and shapes, grab some sequins, or grab felt for a fun extra sensory material. Pom-poms and googly eyes are also usually a hit with kids. Whatever you have already is what would work best.
Or even use them as a tracing material. This is great for kids who are looking to improve their drawing skills and who would like to draw a rubber duck.
Crafting Ideas
We also have plenty crafting inspiration for you too!
Pick any of the outlines above – either the blank outlines, the blank outlines which you have decorated, the black silhouettes, or the fun colorful ones. These can then be printed, cut out and mounted onto something in order to become puppets. Simply glue them onto some lollipop sticks, glue or sew them onto a sock, or find some other fun way. Kids can then play with these, and exercise their imaginations!
They can also be printed out and used as decorations for many different things. Decorate homemade cards with them, put them onto signs and decorations at fun themed parties, or use them as part of a wall display.
They’d be fantastic at a swimming pool party as a garland decoration, as an example. Print out multiple different pictures, cut a small hole in them, and then thread some thick string through it and they’ll be a great hanging garland.
They’d also be great to use on a fun water themed card you’re designing, or even just as a fun decoration as part of your classroom display at school.
Print them out and then you can attach and mount them onto various different materials. You can decorate them and add fun things, or just leave them plain if you’d prefer. Then just stick them onto the bookmark you’re designing.
Or glue them well onto some shaped cardboard and on the other side stick a small magnet. Then you have a fun fridge magnet!
Games Ideas
You could even make them a part of game time. You could print them out, hold two of them up at random and play spot the difference. Kids must tell you whether they are the same or different, and then list the differences they can see.
Or print them out in pairs of two. Then lay them all down flat. Kids must go one at a time to turn over two ducks, to try and find a matching pair. If they do so they can keep the pair and they get a point! If not, they must turn them over again and the next person takes a turn.
These are just a couple of examples of games we think would work. The point is that there are many different activities and things you can do with these duck outlines. We hope you find something the whole family will love to do!
